What is PRINCE2

The PRINCE2 certification scheme currently offers two levels of certification: Foundation and Practitioner. There is also the PRINCE2 Agile® certification scheme which includes the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner qualifications.

Candidates can take PRINCE2 training courses via one of Axelos' Accredited Training Organizations (ATOs) or self-study for all the certification levels. Prices for training courses are set by the ATOs so will vary.

See our PRINCE2 6th Edition section for more information about taking this version of the certification.

The purpose of the Foundation certification is to confirm you know and understand the PRINCE2 method well enough to be able to work effectively with, or as a member of, a project management team working within an environment supporting PRINCE2. The Foundation certification is also a prerequisite for the Practitioner certification.
