PRINCE2 Foundation Certification - Project Management
Purpose of the Foundation Certification
The purpose of the PRINCE2 Foundation certification is to confirm you know and understand the PRINCE2 method sufficiently well to be able to work effectively with, or as a member of, a project management team working within an environment supporting PRINCE2. The Foundation certification is also a prerequisite for the Practitioner certification.
PRINCE2 Foundation training
Typically classroom training for PRINCE2 Foundation will take two and a half days and you will sit the examination at the end of the training. However, you can self-study for PRINCE2 Foundation and you may also choose to take training in another format such as distance learning. Training is delivered by AXELOS' Accredited Training Organizations who set their own rates, so prices will vary.

This certification is aimed at current and aspiring Project Managers. It is also relevant to other key staff involved in the design, development and delivery of projects, including: Project Board members (e.g. Senior Responsible Owners), Team Managers (e.g. Product Delivery Managers), Project Assurance (e.g. Business Change Analysts), Project Support (e.g. Project and Programme Office personnel) and operational line managers/staff.

- Five questions to be trial and not counted in scores
- 35 marks required (out of 70 available) to pass - 50%
- One hour's (60 minutes) duration
- Closed book.
