ITIL® Misconceptions

ITIL is the most widely-accepted approach to IT service management in the world. ITIL can help individuals and organizations use IT to realize business change, transformation and growth.

But there are many misconceptions surrounding the framework that AXELOS is working to highlight and dispel.

We asked our community what they though were the top ‘myths’ or ‘misconceptions’ about ITIL, whether they'd come up against them from colleagues and management when attempting to adopt or adapt a part of the framework? Their experiences with resistance or misinterpretation of ITIL will help us highlight some of the common complaints and barriers when attempting adoption, and help you promote the value of the approach.
