Axelos has today announced that it will be expanding its Agile offering for end-learners by creating a new Foundation level certification as part of its PRINCE2 Agile product suite.

PRINCE2 Agile Foundation is a new certification level currently being developed by Axelos, and is planned for release in mid- 2018. A series of early pilots of the latest certification are to be conducted throughout April and early May 2018 in partnership with Axelos’ Accredited Training Organizations and PeopleCert. Any end-learners who would like to participate in these early pilots are encouraged to contact Axelos and be one of the first to take the new certification and support the product development of Axelos’ latest offering.

The introduction of PRINCE2 Agile Foundation will enable a wider audience to benefit from the positively received guidance on delivering, managing or working within agile projects and project teams, without the need for any prior knowledge of PRINCE2. The new certification will not impact the existing prerequisites for PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner. Therefore, PRINCE2 Foundation will continue to be a valid route into PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner.

PRINCE2 Agile Foundation will provide an added level of detail on how to deliver agile projects, and including detailed coverage of applying agile techniques and tools to the PRINCE2 method. Both organizations and individuals can expect to gain a thorough understanding of how to use the world’s most widely used project management method* in agile environments by attending a PRINCE2 Agile Foundation training course, and gaining a globally recognized accredited qualification by sitting the exam.

The new level will fit within the existing content scheme and alongside this launch, there will be a minor update to the PRINCE2 Agile guide and Practitioner exam to align the guidance to the PRINCE2 2017 update, reinforcing PRINCE2 Agile’s unrivalled reputation as the world’s most complete agile project management method.

Further information can be found in our FAQ document which will cover any questions that you may have in relation to PRINCE2 Agile Foundation.
