AXELOS Global Best Practice has today launched the new Cyber Resilience Best Practice portfolio - RESILIA - aimed at putting employees at the centre of an organization’s cyber resilience strategy, providing business with the confidence they need to recognize, respond to and recover from cyber-attacks effectively.
RESILIA is a portfolio of publications, training and awareness tools designed to help any organization define what good cyber resilience looks like and embed best practice into existing management systems. In addition RESILIA provides organizations with a pathway tool to assess cyber resilience maturity, individual awareness learning aimed at all staff, plus tools for leadership teams designed to raise awareness of cyber resilience among senior executives.
AXELOS CEO Peter Hepworth said: “Cyber crime is increasingly recognized as one of the most serious risks to a strong global economy, market reputations and to national security. RESILIA provides pragmatic advice, equipping people with the knowledge and confidence to act on cyber security risks, helping organizations maintain reputation, customer confidence and operational stability in the face of increasing cyber threat.”
The new portfolio, to be revealed at a launch event in Washington DC today (1 June 2015), includes a Best Practice Guide aligned with ITIL® (proven IT service management best practice). The guide illustrates what good cyber resilience looks like and provides practical guidance for its strategy, implementation and management. It will form the basis of Foundation and Practitioner training and certification, aimed at IT, security and business professionals, and provided by AXELOS’ network of Accredited Training Organizations (ATOs) across the globe.
Nick Wilding, Head of Cyber Resilience at AXELOS said: “Inside any organization there is a powerful force that can help protect their reputation, safeguard their information and keep customers close - people. Effective cyber resilience must focus on aligning strategic priorities, service management tools, operational systems and architectures with ongoing training and involvement of people across the organization.”
RESILIA is the latest addition to the best practice portfolio owned by AXELOS - a joint venture between the UK Government and Capita plc - including ITIL, the most widely adopted service management framework used by thousands of organizations worldwide. More than two million ITIL certifications have been awarded, including 300,000 in 2014.
