Press Release: New career planning tool helping project managers pursue their professional ambitions

AXELOS has launched a new career planning tool - Career Paths - to support project and programme managers identify and achieve their career aspirations.

The first phase of this tool is available via the AXELOS website and can be used by individuals, recruiters and organizations to explore typical job roles within project management. Built using AXELOS Best Practice Frameworks, Career Paths identifies the skills and qualifications needed within different roles to support career progression.

For those wanting to find out more about potential careers in project management, Career Paths is an ideal starting point to explore a wide range of roles and access guidance on how to pursue a chosen career. Individuals who have already embarked on their project management career can use the tool to understand how their current skills fit into the Best Practice and how they can position themselves in the marketplace.

This beta version is being released to the community for feedback to support future developments, including the release of an IT Service Management and Cyber Resilience version of Career Paths.

John Tomlinson, Head of Communities at AXELOS said: “The best practice community drives new developments and Career Paths is no different. We want practitioners to share their experiences and expertise to ensure that this tool is reflective of career paths in the industry and is useful for organizations offering, and individuals pursuing, career opportunities.

“As Career Paths develops, our aim is to map all relevant qualifications available against the different job roles in these industries, making this the ‘go to’ resource for career planning, skills development and best practice.”

Please visit the Career Path portal for further information and details of how to register.
