Chesterfield Borough Council delivers a wide range of services to over 100,000 people, and it’s in the middle of a large technology upgrade programme.

In 2020, the council used PRINCE2 to upgrade over 800 computer operating systems and install cloud-based programmes, which enabled their staff to work remotely during the national lockdown. That project is the subject of this case study.

Interesting to see how the Change Management Approach was implemented and how the staff were coerced by COVID-19 to explore new ways of working. Exploration is one of the behaviours of agile.

Incorporating the lessons from the recently concluded stages into the next stages is something new to me. This behaviour is definitely agile.
