There are three levels of assessment:
- Self-assessment
- Full-assessment - diagnostic
- Full-assessment - certified
We have provided a self-assessment for those organizations that are just setting out on understanding their maturity and how tools like P3M3 can help them. This may also be a useful tool to use when engaging a P3M3 consultant to help scope out the work and give early indicators of maturity. These are sometimes referred to as a facilitated self-assessment.
Self-assessments are available in two forms, standard and enhanced. The standard self- assessment is completely free, but does not generate a report and does not store the results and so cannot be used for baselining. The enhanced self-assessment is paid for, but does generate a report of typical characteristics for an organization at the maturity level the organization has achieved and also stores the result so it can be used for reference against subsequent assessments.
The diagnostic level is aimed at those organizations that want to get at the root causes of their pain points in delivering change. This will help identify where those pain points are as well as providing indicators of the causes of the problem. This can be used to develop improvement plans to increase an organization effectiveness.
The final level is the certified level for those organizations that are proud of their achievements and want to celebrate as such. This could lead to them gaining market advantage and help differentiate them from their competitors.
