AXELOS – Continued investment to drive further success in 2016 and beyond
Following the successful launches of two major new best practice solutions, PRINCE2 Agile™ and RESILIA™, earlier in the year, AXELOS continues to invest in new products and initiatives designed to keep our portfolio of products relevant and at the forefront of best practice.
In the third quarter of 2015, AXELOS launched the AXELOS Professional Development Programme, an online membership programme aligned to the best practice frameworks of ITIL® and PRINCE2®. The new programme rewards members with continuing professional development (CPD) points and will include access to tools and content to help individuals to build their skills and continue their professional journey.
AXELOS has also spent 2015 developing the highly anticipated ITIL Practitioner examination and qualification. ITIL Practitioner represents the most significant evolution of ITIL since AXELOS was formed in 2013. It is the next step after ITIL Foundation for professionals who have already learned the basics of IT Service Management (ITSM) and the business value of well-designed and delivered services. Where ITIL Foundation focuses on the 'what' and the 'why', ITIL Practitioner shows 'how' to start adopting and adapting the ITIL framework within day-to-day situations and responsibilities, giving individuals more confidence in their ability to structure and contribute to ITSM initiatives.
ITIL Practitioner does not replace any of the existing ITIL qualifications. The first ITIL Practitioner examinations will be available in February 2016.
AXELOS would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners and the best practice community for their continued support as we collaboratively shape the future of the best practice portfolio. The foundations have been set for another successful year in 2016.
